Books on the Move, the traveling and online bookstore for dancers, movers and thinkers will be present throughout the duration of the festival. The bookstore will be set up in the Gallery of Le Quartz theater.
This nomadic bookstore, founded in Berlin and today based in Bordeaux is dedicated to the inquiry of dance, performance studies and movement practices. Our collection brings together books on choreography, artist writings, biographies, theoretical essays as well as texts on somatic practices.
Agnès Benoit and Stéphanie Pichon invite you to stop by and browse through new and rare publications, as well as the unavoidable and untraceable of dance literature.

Agnès Benoit received her BA and MFA in dance from Bennington College, Vermont, and taught at the University of Rochester, NY. She moved to Berlin in 2006 where she founded Books on the Move. She’s now based in Bordeaux and is currently developing a multidisciplinary course based on language learning and movement exploration.

Stéphanie Pichon is a freelance journalist, specialized in the field of culture. She crossed path with Books on the Move in Berlin where she lived for four years (2007-2011). Currently based in Bordeaux, she collaborates with the cultural press, advices cultural institutions and develops different mediation activities within Books on the Move. In 2014, she was part of the DU Art, danse, performance, at the Besançon university.
