VIDEO INSTALLATION
FROM MONDAY 2nd TO SATURDAY 7 OF MARCH
Denis Darzaq is a photographer who questions a lot the way we manage to live altogether and share the same political and social space. La Ronde, created in association with choreographer Thierry Thieû Niang, gives Denis Darzaq a possibility to formulate the question differently by using for the first time a video installation. Eight screens are put in circle. On each screen eight performers, either professional or amateur, present different choreographies. This set of movements form a dizzying chaos of reality that looks so much like ours, on a street, in a supermarket, in a residential tower block. When suddenly, a common arrangement sets up. In a fleeting magic of a moment, the bodies do the same movements, each in their personal way and yet altogether. And then little by little their movements start to differ again. The
purpose of this play is to compare our desire of being autonomous and the necessity of creating links to live altogether.
