Blanc

VANIA VANEAU

Brésil

IN PARTNERSHIP WITH LE MAC ORLAN
In collaboration with Danses à tous les étages et Les Petites Scènes ouvertes.

Blanc (white) was born from the desire to access a place of vertigo, a state of trance and transformation of the body, exploring the different levels and facets of the individual and revealing the crowd and the many which live within the singular as the white light is composed of every color. The quest for the strong porosity of the body and the empathic relationship with the audience offers a journey from the organic to the visual hallucination, from the real to the fictive, from the «perishable body» to the «utopian body».

VANIA VANNEAU
Born in 1982 in São Paulo, she trained at the P.A.R.T.S school in Brussels. As a dancer, she has participated in the creation and second runs of the works of Wim Vandekeybus (2004- 2005), Maguy Marin (as a permanent dancer of the CCN de Rillieux-la-Pape, 2005-2012), David Zambrano (2013), Marcos Simoes/Sara Manente (2014), Jordi Galí (2014-15), Yoann Bourgeois (2014-15), Anne Collod (2015) and Christian Rizzo (2016).
In 2014, she created her first long solo Blanc accompanied by guitarist Simon Dijoud.
